A Life on Skis
Skiing, I love it and hate it because I wish I was better at it!!! These days its probably more about soaking in that unbeatable mountain air. Over the years, I’ve skied across some of Europe’s most iconic resorts, each offering something completely different.
⛷ Favourite Spots
Les Deux Alpes and Alpe d’Huez were some of the first places I explored — School trips and young love!
Chamonix was more intense: steep, deep and rich with mountaineering history.
In Val Thorens and Les Menuires, I learned the thrill of high-altitude terrain and skiing from dawn until dusk.
Val d’Isère, Tignes, and Val Claret— buzzing villages, incredible lift access and proper skiing from first lift to last – I will always return to this ski area.
Courmayeur brought a completely different vibe — that classic Italian charm, effortless style and long, lazy lunches in the sun, with my first experience of sleeping in a log cabin on the mountain.
Zell am See gave me Alpine elegance with lakeside beauty — postcard-perfect skiing with Austrian warmth.
🎥 When Work Took Me to the Snow
One of the most unforgettable experiences of my career was working in Oslo on a film project for a Norwegian telecommunications client.
We built a half pipe in the centre of the city, staged a music festival around it and brought in professional snowboarders to compete and perform. Imagine a buzzing crowd, thumping music and riders flipping through the air — all right in the heart of Oslo. It was a vibe!
Then, we helicoptered out to Lofoten — dramatic, rugged and jaw-droppingly beautiful. There, we filmed free skiing and a natural quarter pipe carved into the wilderness. It was raw, untouched and one of the most surreal places I’ve ever skied.
🏔 Why I Keep Going Back
Skiing for me is about more than the sport — it’s a way to disconnect, to feel alive. Whether it’s chasing the last run before sunset, drinking vin chaud with friends, or simply standing still and taking in a 360° view of silence and snow, the mountains are always good for me!
